Day 1

It was so sad to take her to the vets knowing what was about to happen.  The kids were real sad to say good bye to her before they left for school.  Dave and myself took her and we both found it hard to leave her.

We had an appointment   back to the vets at 5pm to bring her home.  When we got to the vets , they said she might not be coming home tonight as she just didn’t look right.

We got to see her, and she was very happy to hear our voices and to tell us all about her day.  The vet decided she could come home.

  1. so glad to hear the surgery went well and zara is home. remember the first two weeks will be very tiring – for both zara and you!!! you did the right thing for her, and she knows that. once all the pain meds are done and she gets back to being herself, you’ll be surprised how quickly she ‘gets on with gettin’ on’. paws crossed for a speedy recovery.

  2. Zara looks like a very sweet puppy! So sorry that you have to go through this but you will find out in no time, that she will bounce right back and surprise you with her resilience. You’ll have a very happy puppy soon who will be able to get around so easily – you (and Zara) won’t even know she has 3 legs!
Just know that the first 2 weeks can be pretty tough but once you get past that, Zara will be on the great road to recovery. Just you wait and see! All the best to Zara for a smooth and speedy recovery. Keep us posted on how she’s doing.
